If Our Shopping Cart Doesn't Work:

Our Shopping Cart uses JavaScript and cookies to work; you need a fairly modern web browser to buy from us online. If our Shopping Cart doesn't work for you, test your browser here. This test page will help you check that Javascript and cookies are working in your browser.

More about our Shopping Cart's Cookie: Our Cart uses what's called a session cookie. A session cookie is the "safest" kind of cookie, because it's transient. It disappears when you close your browser and/or when you turn off your computer. This is good because the cookie is not written to your hard drive and doesn't stick around to do things like report on sites you visit. Unfortunately, the transient nature of a session cookie sometimes causes problems. If you are in the middle of using our Cart and then go away and take a nap, the cookie might expire and the Cart can become confused. If the Cart stops working, the sure remedy is to shut down and restart your browser, then start a new Shopping Cart.

If you still can't get our Shopping Cart to run, you'll have to order a rug by telephone at 315-422-7832 or by email at sales@jacobsenrugs.com.

How to Buy Online Using Our Shopping Cart:

  • You can add rugs to our Shopping Cart page from any rug description page by clicking the  Add to Shopping Cart  button at the bottom of the rug page. The Shopping Cart box shows what rug(s) you've selected to buy, along with shipping costs, if any.

  • From the Shopping Cart page you can remove rugs from the Cart. You can also click to go to the   Go to Checkout page  page when you're ready to actually send us the order.

  • If you click   Go to Rugs on Sale  you'll go to our main Rugs ON SALE page where you can begin the process to select other rugs.

  • Once you've added all the rugs to the Shopping Cart, you might want to click   Print this Page  to print a copy of your Shopping Cart for your records. Remember, your order doesn't go until you complete the Checkout Page and click "Send Order" at the bottom of the Ckeckout Page.

After You Order:

The Checkout Page asks you for billing, shipping, and credit card information. When you click "Send Order" your information goes to our secure server. We get an email telling us about your order, and you get an email confirming your order and listing the rug(s) and price(s) you selected. NO CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IS SENT BY EMAIL.

When we receive the email about your order we check that the information you sent us is complete and that the rug is available. If we are sending to an address in New York State, we'll compute the NYS sales tax due. There is no NYS sales tax due on rugs shipped outside New York State.

When all is in order we'll email you with the rug info and with a final amount due. As soon as you authorize this amount, we'll charge your credit card and ship the rug(s) to you. A real person reviews your order and charges your credit card to be sure there is no mistake in billing. Most rugs will ship via UPS, and we can send a tracking number so that you can anticipate delivery.

Once your order is complete, there is no electronic record stored anywhere on a server or other computer connected to the internet. We treat customer information the way we would like our own information handled. Please email us with any questions.

We do not sell, rent, trade, lend, or barter any customer information with anyone.
